Its doesn't appear to be RES as the strip on the head in yellow and not red, even old adult whould show a red-tint if any. Its definitely a yellow tint. Its not a yellow belly.

Options: RES/Yellowbellied Integrade
Cumberland Slider
Tropical Slider: Jamaican, Domincian, Puerto Rican,
Bahamian, Cuban, or Gran Cayman Slider.

:I don't expect anyone to be able to identify this to subspecies -- though I expect it is a old (with the accent on the "old") RES. Trachemys scripta elegans.

: Just thought I would throw up the picture as a great example of age related melanism. This nasty huge male was purchased as a hatchling in 1963

:Cheers
